Is Low Level Laser Therapy medically approved?

Low Level Laser Therapy is a non-medical procedure, As such, it is not covered by most insurance plans. However, many medical doctors and dentists do refer their patients to Imagine Laserworks. Is Low Level Laser Therapy Safe?

Absolutely, Low Level Laser Therapy is completely safe, painless and drug-free. Certified Low Level Laser technicians use only approved proprietary protocols created by Imagine Laserworks.

What part of the body is treated?

Low Level Laser is applied to specific acupuncture or energy points located on the ears, nose, hands and feet. The actual points vary depending on the specific problem being treated such as smoking or weight loss.

How many laser therapy sessions will I need?


The number of laser sessions required varies from person to person. The team at Imagine Laserworks of New England will explain and customize a plan specifically for you.. For smoking, most people only need one session.

And how long are the sessions?


Most session are on average 30 to 60 minutes, The team at Imagine Laserworks of New England will inform you of the time duration for your session.

How effective is Low Level Laser Therapy for smoking cessation?


Results are exceptionally high compared to alternative methods such as the nicotine patch, nicotine gum, anti depressant drugs, cold turkey, stop smoking pills or potions and hypnosis, etc. Most clients only need one session to quit smoking, however we do offer complimentary boosters up to 8 weeks if the client has not yet smoked. If the client has smoked, then the entire session may be performed again for a nominal fee. 

Do you consider it better than other stop-smoking solutions- gum patches?

Laser therapy is the #1 smoking cessation protocol in the world. As compared to other options such as prescriptions, patches and gum, there are no chemicals or side effects.

How effective is Low Level Laser Therapy for weight loss?

It’s very effective; The majority of our clients who make the necessary lifestyle changes such as developing healthy eating and exercise habits lose about 8 – 12 pounds per month. The prime function of Low Level Laser Therapy is to stimulate (accelerate) the metabolism, suppress the appetite and control food cravings.

Is there any pain?

Laser acupuncture is a natural, non-invasive and pain free process.  There is no pain or side effects associated with the therapy. The client may feel a slight stinging sensation or pulsating, if at all.

Smoking cessation- what happens when I get a craving?

We highly recommend that clients take advantage of booster (follow up treatments) that are included in the original cost. We will provide up to 4 boosters within the first 8 weeks of your smoking cessation program. If you get the urge to smoke, call us and you will receive a complimentary booster, permitted you have not smoked. If you have smoked,reduced rates are offered within 4 weeks and after that it’s half price up to a year. Anytime this happens your follow up booster program starts all over again.

What if I smoke, can I come back?

If you have smoked, there will be a reduced rate applied for the complete session.

We cannot make the necessary lifestyle changes for you. Low Level Laser Therapy is not a “magic wand”. It is designed to help you overcome the initial obstacles to losing your excess weight.

Is laser therapy safe for children?

Yes, laser acupuncture is safe for kids. They respond well to is as it's pain free and relaxing.  

Am I allowed to bring my child to my session?

Unless a child is getting a session, we kindly as that you refrain from bringing them to your session. This helps to ensure a relaxing experience for everyone. 

Are there contraindication?

Those that are pregnant, epileptic, have a pace maker- or any electronic devise located inside the body should not seek laser therapy.
